- Consults with the Director in determining priorities for the office and in identifying needs and concerns
- Serves as a source of expertise to assure the quality and validity of the assessment projects and to improve the operations of the office
- Promotes SARA and the use of data to inform decisions about resources and services
- Generates ideas for furthering the role of SARA within Student Affairs and the Penn State community
- Assists in identifying ways to collaborate and cultivate partners in assessment efforts
The SARA Advisory Board includes faculty, staff, and student colleagues who are served by the office or have specific expertise in student affairs and/or higher education research and assessment. The Board typically meets twice a semester. In conjunction with the mission and goals of SARA, the Board:
