Penn State University is actively engaged in an ambitious effort to strengthen the health and well-being of the Penn State Greek community through the Greek Pride: A Return to Glory initiative. The initiative was informed by Penn State's participation in a national student survey distributed in 2005 and 2007 by the Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA) and Educational Benchmarking, Inc. (EBI), which assessed the overall effectiveness of fraternity and sorority life.

2007 Assessment

In this report, 2007 data are provided for the key questions in the survey in accordance with Penn State's Greek Life initiatives, and comparisons to Penn State’s assessment in 2005 are also provided. Additionally, comparable data are provided for peer institutions (13 institutions) based on Carnegie Classification (doctoral/research universities – extensive), and for all participating institutions (63 institutions). These data highlight Penn State’s areas of strength and areas for improvement.
