Dental Insurance
Individual, voluntary dental and vision insurance is available to interested undergraduate and graduate students. The Dental Elect Plan, offered through Gallagher Student Health & Special Risk, allows students to select a provider from the Ameritas Classic Network and the policy has a yearly maximum benefit amount of $1,000. Students can choose a provider from the EyeMed network to use vision coverage.

Rates are determined based on zip code so students should use their local campus address when enrolling to ensure enrollment in the correct plan. Upon completion of enrollment, you will be provided links to your ID card and a copy of your policy. Coverage starts the 1st day of the following month after you enroll. Automatic payment is required on the 20th of each month to maintain coverage. You can cancel at any time.

*With an in-network provider, your out-of-pocket costs will almost always be less because of contracted fees (MAC). With an out-of-network dentist, you pay the difference between what the plan pays (MAB) and the dentist’s actual charge, which may result in higher out-of-pocket costs.
