Penn State students have access to the UHS Telephone Advice Nurse program 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 814.863.4463. The advice nurses also respond to e-mail sent through myUHS during regular business hours.
Experienced advice nurses can help you figure out the best course of action: do you need immediate medical care, an appointment the next day, or will self-care help you?
Important Note: Please reserve after-hours calls for urgent problems. If you have a routine or minor health concern, you should continue to call the UHS Advice Nurse during regular office hours.
