Gynecological Problems and Other Women's Health Issues
If you are experiencing any of the following women's health problems, please call the UHS Telephone Advice Nurse at 863.4463 to discuss your medical concern. This nurse will help you decide what action is indicated to address your health problem, and if appropriate will also schedule an appointment with a clinician.
- Colposcopy (evaluation of abnormal pap smears)
- Contraception
- Gynecological problems (with referral for surgery)
- Pain, swelling and/or unusual lump in breast
- Pelvic ultrasound for diagnosis of abnormalities, such as ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, polyps, and ectopic pregnancies.
- Other common health concerns, such as menstrual disorders, PMS, eating disorders, urinary tract infections, and vaginitis (yeast infections).
Appointments
Women with urgent problems are seen quickly (usually the same day). If you have a medical problem requiring an urgent appointment, please call UHS at 863.0774 during regular business hours.
If a routine annual gynecological exam is also needed, a separate appointment should be scheduled.
