Handicapped Spaces

There are two handicapped parking spaces in the rear of the Student Health Center, as well as a convenient ground-level entrance with an automatic door opener and elevator. See the ADA Access Map of University Park Campus.

Short Term Parking and Pharmacy Customers

Beginning October 1, Penn State retirees visiting the University Health Services (UHS) pharmacy will be required to display a UHS Pharmacy Parking Permit and have their vehicles’ four-way flashers operating.

The signage has already been changed by the Parking Office, and distribution of the new parking permits began July 25 with prescription pickups. Retirees may park in the designated spots without a permit during their next visit and obtain a permit at the UHS Pharmacy service counter. The permit should be displayed on subsequent visits; full implementation will begin October 1, 2011.

The parking space options available to retirees have also changed slightly. There are now three spaces located inside the Eisenhower Parking Deck near the exit and four spaces located in the Yellow F parking lot across the street from the Eisenhower Parking Deck that are reserved for UHS Pharmacy parking.

Parking options for faculty and staff visiting the UHS Pharmacy will remain the same. Faculty and staff may park in any regular faculty/staff parking space (including the Eisenhower Deck) for up to 15 minutes with the vehicles 4 way flashers operating and a current staff parking permit properly displayed. Faculty and staff may also use the parking spaces designated Pharmacy Parking with their Penn State faculty/staff permit properly displayed and the four-way flashers operating.

The parking option for students utilizing any of UHS’ services is the East Deck.  UHS will continue to validate the gate stub so students will only have to pay the dollar per hour fee for parking.

The Parking Office apologizes for any confusion the early changes in signage may cause. Parking questions can be addressed by the Penn State Parking Office at (814) 865-1436.
