Living in One Neighhborhood (LION) Walk
Living In One Neighborhood is a jointly-sponsored neighborhood program.
During the first week of fall semester classes, the State College Borough, Penn State University's Division of Student Affairs, and the Off-Campus Student Union come together for our annual welcoming event promoting safety, community cohesion, and neighborhood sustainability.
Fall 2016 LION Walk
The LION Walk took place on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
During the walk, small groups of students, police officers, and senior university and borough officials will walk door to door. The groups walk through neighborhoods where there is a mix of student and permanent residents to distribute information. The information provided is designed to encourage both student and permanent residents to be good neighbors and build better neighborhoods.
The LION Walk hopes to unite student, government, and Penn State leadership in order to promote a greater sense of community and connection.
