Physical Therapy
Support for Movement. Recovery with Purpose.
University Health Services offers on-site physical therapy to help students get back to the activities they love. Located on the first floor of the Student Health Center, our licensed physical therapists provide personalized care for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions—from sports injuries to post-surgical recovery.
What to Expect
Every patient starts with a one-on-one evaluation with a licensed physical therapist. We’ll review your medical history, assess your range of motion and strength, and discuss your personal goals. Together, we’ll build a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Most students visit one to three times per week, with duration based on progress and individual goals. Treatment may include guided therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, pain management techniques, and postural and movement training.
How to Schedule
Students need a physical therapy order from your UHS clinician or your personal health care provider. Initial evaluations must be scheduled by phone at 814-865-4UHS(4847), Option 7.
Fees & Insurance
Fees are billed through your insurance. Coverage varies depending on your plan, and you’re responsible for any charges not covered. Our staff will review your benefits during your first visit—or you can call your insurance provider ahead of time to confirm your physical therapy coverage.
