Information for U.S. Students

Penn State is introducing a University-wide health insurance requirement for the 2019-2020 academic year. As part of the new requirement, all students (U.S. students and international students) must provide proof of health insurance that meets a certain set of recommendations, or purchase the Penn State Student Health Insurance plan (SHIP).

The Penn State Student Health Insurance plan (SHIP) offers comprehensive health insurance at a competitive price with a wide network of providers across the United States. Select the student type that best describes you to learn more about rates, enrollment deadlines, and eligibility.
