Submit Health Insurance Information Through LionPATH

Penn State is moving toward an initiative to implement a University-wide health insurance requirement for the 2019-20 academic school year. In preparation for the new requirement, University Health Services (UHS) asks that all domestic students submit their health insurance information beginning May 2017.

Why does Penn State require this information?

Many students arrive at Penn State uninsured or underinsured, and are not covered to receive health care services. Collecting health insurance information through LionPATH will help Penn State better understand the insurance needs of its students and help support students in making informed health insurance decisions.

What does required, voluntary and ineligible mean?

LionPATH eligibility requirements are based on credit requirements that will become effective in 2018-19 when Penn State moves to a University-wide health insurance requirement. If you are interested in purchasing the Penn State SHIP for the 2017-18 academic year, please reference eligibility requirements on the undergraduate and graduate insurance pages.
