The HUB-Robeson Galleries are committed to the enrichment of the Penn State collegiate experience beyond the classroom. Exposure to the arts is crucial to having a well-rounded education and we strive to emphasize the importance of having an understanding and appreciation of the arts and the role of arts in society.

The mission of the HUB-Robeson Galleries is to bring diverse and contemporary exhibitions created by students, emerging, and professional artists to the entire Penn State community. The programs of the Galleries are dedicated to the inclusiveness of all national and international cultures, artists, and art forms.

The HUB-Robeson Galleries are free and open to the public.

HUB-Robeson Center Locations

Within the HUB-Robeson Center, the HUB-Robeson Galleries operate five main display areas which change exhibits each semester.

Robeson Gallery

Robeson Gallery is a large, formal gallery that is adjacent to the Penn State Bookstore on the Lower Level of the HUB-Robeson Center.

HUB Gallery

HUB Gallery is a smaller, more intimate gallery on the First Floor of the HUB-Robeson Center.

Art Alley

Art Alley, a versatile, accessible, and highly-visible space, is adjacent to the HUB Gallery on the First Floor of the HUB-Robeson Center.

Sculpture Corner

Between the HUB Gallery and Art Alley is Sculpture Corner, a long-term exhibition area that exclusively displays three-dimensional works.

Display Cases

Throughout the First Floor of the HUB-Robeson Center are five Display Cases; two of which are adjacent to Freeman Auditorium and the HUB Gallery; one adjacent to Heritage Hall; and the remaining two adjacent to the HUB information desk.

Art on the Move Locations

The Art on the Move program is an extension of the HUB-Robeson Galleries and features small exhibits that rotate through other high-traffic areas on campus. Art on the Move often showcases the work of current Penn State students.

West Halls

The Waring Commons Cultural Lounge, room 125, is one of two Art on the Move locations housed in an on-campus residence area. The Cultural Lounge is a doubles as a meeting room and a quiet study lounge. This exhibit area is closed during the summer months.

Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs

The Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs, 206 Old Main, hosts two Art on the Move exhibit areas. Because this is a private office we highly recommend calling ahead (814-865-0909) to see the exhibits.
