Student Organization of the Month

The Student Organization of the Month is awarded each month of the academic year. This award recognizes organizations who have achieved something within the past month. Anyone can nominate a student organization. Student organizations in good standing with the Office of Student Activities and have been recognized by the institution for at least one academic year may apply for the Student Organization of the Month award.

The application asks for the following:

  • provide a detailed description of a program or event the organization hosted or sponsored during within the past month
  • a description of the organization's biggest accomplishment since the beginning of the current semester
  • resources provided by the University the organization took advantage of in the past (for example, UPAC funding, involvement, information tables, etc)
  • how the organization has developed a collaborative relationship with other student organizations, university departments, and/or community partners

The organization that receives the award is provided a table on the first floor of the HUB-Robeson Center for one day to showcase their organization, a banner is displayed in the HUB-Robeson Center for one week recognizing the organization (which the organization will have the opportunity to keep afterwards), and the organization is invited to the Student Affairs awards ceremony in April where it will receive a plaque commemorating their award. The application will open and close based on the appropriate time frames.
