Understanding Your COVID-19 Testing Options

Understanding your COVID-19 testing options at University Park can be complex. Follow the guidance below to determine whether you should schedule an appointment to test at University Health Services, or if you should utilize the walk-up testing site located in the Pegula Ice Arena.

Scenario 1: I have symptoms of COVID-19 and/or I do not feel well
 Schedule an appointment with UHS

Scenario 2: I've tested positive for COVID-19. Should I retest after completing Quarantine/Isolation?
2A: I am not experiencing any new symptoms since my initial positive test. You should not retest at this time. Data to date shows that a person who has had and recovered from COVID-19 may have low levels of virus in their bodies for up to 3 months after diagnosis. This means that if the person who has recovered from COVID-19 is retested within 3 months of initial infection, they may continue to have a positive test result, even though they are not spreading COVID-19.
2B: I am experiencing new symptoms since my initial positive test.
If you develop new symptoms after testing positive for COVID-19,  Schedule an appointment with UHS.

Scenario 3: I've received an email about being required to complete surveillance testing
Please follow the instructions provided in the email
