Penn State recognizes that not all college journeys look the same. Whether you're returning after years away, balancing family and work, or starting college for the first time as an adult, you belong here—and we're here to support your success.

2025 Outstanding Adult Student

Kirti Arora is a sophomore in College of Liberal Arts (a non-native speaker) majoring in English with a 3.56 GPA and exploring double major in the Arts. She is an international student from India, who has had her education disrupted by a parent battling cancer, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a government turnover that had fiscal responsibility of her scholarship. She serves as a First Gen Ambassador for the Chaiken Success Center, a member of the President Leadership Academy, takes 19 credits and works in the Pollock Dining Commons. Kirti combines her scholarship with creativity, is generous with her peers, is involved on campus, and has unwaivering determination to succeed.
