Creating Connection. Inspiring Change.
The Center for Social Change and Belonging helps Penn State students explore identity, equity, and leadership through action. We create spaces for dialogue, education, and collaboration that empower students to build inclusive communities and drive meaningful social change.
Through workshops, programs, and partnerships, the center supports students in developing cultural awareness, advocacy skills, and a deeper sense of belonging. Here, students learn not only how to understand the world — but how to shape it for the better.
Activism starts with showing up.
The Center for Social Change and Belonging can help you take the next step. We facilitate workshops and programs that support macro-level change that challenges unjust systems and practices through activism and advocacy consultation, conflict resolution, allyship and ally identity development, and restorative practices and trauma-informed approached.
Bringing the idea of community to life
We work with Residence Life to support the IDEA Ambassadors, students embedded in residence halls that empower others to foster inclusion and belonging across campus. Ambassadors serve as peer leaders, hosting conversations, workshops, and events that encourage community, understanding, and change. Join the movement to make Penn State more welcoming for everyone.
