Professional Passions
Mark is originally from the great state of Wisconsin. He has worked at four institutions of higher education; Ball State University, San Diego State University, University of California - San Diego, and the Pennsylvania State University. He has extensive experience with crisis response, leadership development, equity and inclusion initiatives, human resources, and living-learning environments at each institution.
Mark has been a university judicial officer at San Diego State University and at Penn State. He also had oversight for the residential conduct process at the University of California - San Diego and the Penn State - University Park campus.
Mark truly enjoys the development of students and staff. Providing opportunities for students to learn through out of the classroom experiences and gain skills to help them throughout their life is a true passion.
Mark’s research interests include: Senior level administrative decision-making in Student Affairs, Alcohol issues in Higher Education, Legal issues in Higher Education, Living-Learning communities, and Cocurricular development and implementation.
