The Greek Column Awards

Every year, our community gathers to formally honor the achievements of chapters, individual members, and advisors through the Greek Column Awards. Categories range from Outstanding Chapter Executive Officer to Member of the Year and Chapter Excellence Awards—highlighting commitment, leadership, and service across the councils. This event is more than recognition—it signals a shared culture of excellence, and invites all members to engage, learn, and set new benchmarks for community impact and personal growth.

Standards of Excellence Achievement

The Standards of Excellence program recognizes the shared commitment of Penn State’s fraternity and sorority chapters to lead with integrity, purpose, and accountability. More than a measure of performance, it’s a framework for continuous learning—encouraging chapters to grow through scholarship, leadership, service, and community engagement. By reflecting on progress and striving toward higher standards, members strengthen not only their chapters but also the broader Penn State experience.

The Standards of Excellence Award honors chapters that achieve distinction across all ten focus areas of the Standards of Excellence program. These organizations exemplify the highest ideals of fraternity and sorority life—demonstrating integrity, leadership, service, and collaboration that elevate both their members and the broader Penn State community.

The Standards of Achievement Award recognizes chapters that go beyond expectations—meeting excellence in more than six key focus areas of the Standards of Excellence program.
