Student Memberships
All University Park undergraduate and graduate students who are actively enrolled and paying the Student Initiated Fee automatically have access to Campus Recreation facilities, including the Tennis Center—no extra cost, no sign-up required.
Membership Options
A Campus Recreation Membership gives you access to all of our facilities, programs, and services, allowing you to explore everything Penn State Campus Recreation has to offer.
Membership benefits include:
- Access to fitness spaces, gymnasiums, and recreation areas
- Entry to group fitness classes, open recreation hours, and aquatic facilities
- Access to special member pricing for programs, events, and services
How to Join
Memberships can be purchased in person at the IM Building Membership Office or the Tennis Center front desk. A valid photo ID is required at the time of purchase.

We offer flexible membership options for faculty, staff, and Alumni Association community members, allowing you to stay active and engaged through our facilities and programs.
- Spouses and partners of faculty or staff are eligible for special rates with proof of shared residency.

The Tennis Center Membership, separate from the Campus Recreation Membership, is available to faculty, staff, and community members. Benefits include:
- Access to indoor and outdoor tennis courts
- Discounted rates for programs, private lessons, and events
- Member-only opportunities, such as permanent court time and reduced racquet stringing

Not ready for a full membership? Day passes are available for visitors who want to enjoy our facilities and services for a single day.
- Visitors must be sponsored by a current member, bring a valid photo ID, be 18 or older, and will need to pay $10 per day.
- Members are restricted to one sponsored visitor a day.
Locker Rental
Lockers are available for Campus Recreation members to rent at the IM Buildingm White Building, and McCoy Natatorium. A lock is provided when you purchase the rental.

Campus Rec on the Move
Access your favorite recreation facilities and activities on the go. Find facility hours, register for programs, modify registrations, and more using the Penn State CRec app. Even eliminate the need to carry your Penn State ID. Available in your app store, download and have all of Campus Rec ready to move with you.
