Our Commitment to the Penn State Community
Welcome Back to Campus Penn State! We know it’s been a long time and we’re going to have to wait just a little longer to welcome you back to our spaces and programs. It will be worth the wait to see you all again. It will take all of us to successfully and safely resume operations and we thank you for your patience. We’ve been working hard to create spaces with distanced equipment and protocols that will reduce potential exposure with capacity limits. Additionally, we’ve implemented a reservation system that will help us meet new capacity requirements.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to welcome you back on Monday, September 7th as we had planned. But we’re still working on our plans and will be ready once we’re given the green light. Before then you may see some people in our facilities. Campus Recreation facilities are used for a variety of Athletic and Academic purposes, that started on August 24th.
While you’re waiting… Our virtual programming continues to run through the fall to help you stay active and engaged with Campus Recreation. Find all of our virtual programming with just one click on the above Virtual Programming button.
Introducing Shake Smart – a new healthy food option will open in the IM Builidng as we welcome you back. A second Shake Smart location in the White Building will open in the early fall. For more information on Shake Smart follow this Link (clickable to Shake Smart page)
Your wellbeing is important to us – just as important now as it has been since our first days of being remote. To that end we will continue to offer a robust schedule of live fitness classes via Instagram each week and have a library of over 100 fitness videos on our YouTube playlist. Check out or ESports leagues, virtual personal training, and outdoor trip planning assistance to continue your active pursuits. The best way to keep up to date with everything is via our social media channels.
