Outreach Interns serve as Career Services ambassadors and provide quality support and outreach for the Center and its constituencies.

  • Promote Penn State Career Services to undergraduate students

  • Participate in outreach, presentation, and tabling events to market our services to specific student populations

  • Supports special events

  • Assist with resume and cover letter reviews during busy seasons

Build Skills

Being an Outreach Intern allows you to share Career Services benefits, resources, and programs with others while providing you the opportunity to grow as a professional.

  • Educate your peers about CS resources and help them to achieve their career goals

  • Act as liaisons to various academic units and administrative offices on campus, particularly those that serve special student populations

  • Propose ideas from a student perspective

  • Assist in the training/hiring of future Outreach Interns

  • Communicate personal areas of interest to influence project assignments and opportunities

Get Involved

Applications will be reviewed and interviews scheduled on a rolling basis. Candidate decisions will be made in early November. Questions can be directed to askcs@psu.edu.

Apply Online

Students who are offered a position will then complete a 1-credit career development course during the spring semester that will allow them to develop the skills they need to succeed as a career outreach intern.
