Penn State’s spiritual community is grounded in respect, exploration, and connection. Whether you’re rooted in a specific religious tradition, exploring your values, or seeking a quiet place for reflection, the Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development is here to support your journey. 

A Home for All Beliefs

The Pasquerilla Spiritual Center is the largest multi-faith center of its kind in the country and a welcoming, inclusive space for students of all religious and spiritual backgrounds. The Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development provides a safe environment for reflection, worship, meditation, and celebration. 

Building Hours

Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. when classes are in session. Staff are available on weekdays when the building is open and on weekends from 3:00 - 10:30 p.m.

The Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development offers a wide range of programs that invite students to explore identity, learn across belief systems, and find community. Our programs support being, believing and belonging discussions, interfaith educational workshops, labryrinth walks, spiritual wellness, and more.

Student Organizations & Support

Getting involved with a religious or spiritual student organization is a powerful way to build community, find meaning, and create shared experiences. Whether you’re looking to deepen your existing faith, explore new perspectives, or connect with others who share your values, there’s a group here for you. The Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development supports dozens of active student organizations across traditions as well as interfaith groups focused on dialogue and service. 

These groups: 

  • Host regular worship, study, and discussion opportunities
  • Plan events and service projects across campus and beyond
  • Offer mentorship, fellowship, and spiritual guidance
  • Create a supportive environment that respects your full identity 

Recognized groups have access to resources such like meeting space, office and storage access, promotional support, and opportunities to collaborate on campus-wide initiatives.
