Alpha Omega Campus Ministry

Mission

The Mission of Alpha Omega shall be to be a student ministry dedicated to helping all PSU students and faculty discover a dynamic relationship with God, live out the Bible, build deep, lasting friendships, and effectively serve their community. One of our goals as a ministry is to call others to be disciples of Jesus and follow his compassionate example in every way. We do this through offering to all student’s personal bible studies on Jesus’ calling of discipleship, larger group bible discussions entitled “Bible Talks”, and student worship services. Unlike other Christian organizations on campus, we are not an interdenominational ministry, but we represent the biblical teachings of the Restoration movement Christian fellowships of the Churches of Christ and the International Churches of Christ. All are welcome to come and learn and do not need to be a part of a Restoration Movement Church to be a member of this organization.

DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship

Mission

DiscipleMakers is a local chapter of the Pennsylvania-based DiscipleMakers organization. Our purpose is to help people learn about Christianity, about why knowing Jesus matters, and about how to live out your faith day to day. We welcome everyone no matter what their background or interest level is. We seek to meet people where they are at and investigate who Jesus is and why he matters. We also place a high value on community and individual mentorship and investment. We do all of this through things like small group investigative Bible discussions, mentoring relationships, specific Bible study training, and through a loving and caring community. Since we are a local chapter of a larger organization there are also many opportunities to learn and grow through inter-collegiate conferences and service trips.

Unity Christian Campus Ministry is a group of college students who want to live for God in community. We live life together and commune for Bible Studies, kickbacks, community service, and more. Our advisors are sources of spiritual, physical, and emotional support and guide us through thick and thin. As always, but especially today, UCCM is not in agreement with the mistreatment of anyone based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, and anything else of the like. Why Can't We Agree

Mission

Our mission is to expand the perspectives of Christian students so that we can become more educated as a body and, therefore, better able to work together in building a more accurate understanding of what is most true. We aim to accomplish this by asking the question, "Why can't we agree?" and through the answer to this question, we can find what separates perspectives, learn from those separations, and leave with a more complete view of an issue. We do not seek unanimous consent; in fact, we encourage disagreement and view it as an impactful tool.

Our club will meet every week on Monday to discuss topics that were selected by vote from the previous week. At the end of every meeting, nominations will open, and members can submit their interest in a topic for the following week. These are then collected and sorted by the executive team before composing the survey, where members can vote on their favorite topics for the next meeting. This allows for maximum engagement for every topic because they are chosen by those who are attending the meetings.
