Join a Student Organization

One of the best ways to get involved at Penn State is to join a student organization. With over 1,000 recognized student organizations, there are plenty of opportunities. Our Involvement Fair is a great place to start.

Involvement Fair

Involvement fairs are held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. They provide a great opportunity to talk to current club members to learn more. You can browse through hundreds of clubs during the fair!

Fraternity and Sorority Life at Penn State

The Penn State fraternity and sorority community is one of the largest in North America and consists of a diverse group of men and women. Social fraternities and sororities at Penn State create smaller communities within the larger university environment and are committed to the basic principles of fraternity and sorority membership: academic achievement, service and philanthropy, leadership, brotherhood and sisterhood, social, and alumni involvement. Building lifelong friendships through collaborative and meaningful relationships is also a key component to the experience at Penn State.

Service and Volunteering

Getting involved can also mean supporting the community and making a difference at Penn State or beyond. We have so many ways to give back, including on-campus, in the local area or as part of a service trip. Experiences vary from a few hours to a week or more.
