  • Perfect interviewing and resume skills and knowledge

  • Have the opportunity to network with employers and career staff

  • Develop interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Great related experience for careers in HR, recruiting, counseling, and public speaking

Get Involved

Typically, the Peer Career Assistant position is posted on the Penn State Employment website early in the fall semester. Interviews are held late in the fall semester and students are offered a position in early December for the next academic year.

Students who are offered a position will then complete a 1-credit career development course during the spring semester that will allow them to develop the skills they need to succeed as a career development facilitator.
