Lavender Recognition is an annual ceremony conducted on numerous campuses to honor and acknowledge lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and ally graduating students and to recognize their achievements and contributions to Penn State.

Graduating students, both undergraduate and graduate, are invited to the celebration, which occurs prior to University-wide commencement events. This event is hosted by the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity

Community celebrations are open to all students regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, or any other protected class. We invite any interested student to participate and register to celebrate their accomplishments. 

Celebrate the annual APIDA Heritage Festival hosted by Penn State's APIDA Caucus and State College's PanAPIDA Circle in Downtown State College. Enjoy food, music, and live performances that embrace and celebrate the APIDA community in a Night Market-themed event. Visit the Dr . Martin Luther King Jr. plaza in downtown State College to gather and honor APIDA Heritage Month and students earning their diplomas. No registration is required. This event is co-sponsored by State College Borough and the Paul Robeson Cultural Center.

Latino Caucus will host their annual Penn State Latinx Community Celebration. Students can celebrate their impending graduation in spring and fall 2025. Enjoy free food and celebrate with the Latinx community. This event is co-sponsored by the Paul Robeson Cultural Center

Celebrate the achievements and history of the Indigenous Peoples at Penn State during this community celebration, hosted by the Penn State Indigenous Peoples Student Association. Join keynote speaker Robert Odawi Porter and a performance by the Thunder Nation Singers as we honor the proud traditions of our community.
