Outstanding Adult Student Awards
The Outstanding Adult Student Award recognizes an exceptional adult, veteran, students parenting, first generation undergraduates at University Park who has overcome obstacles while pursuing their college education. Nominees should balance multiple roles, serve as a role model for peers and achieve academically.
2025 Outstanding Adult Student
Kirti Arora is a sophomore in College of Liberal Arts (a non-native speaker) majoring in English with a 3.56 GPA and exploring double major in the Arts. She is an international student from India, who has had her education disrupted by a parent battling cancer, the COVID-19 pandemic, and a government turnover that had fiscal responsibility of her scholarship. She serves as a First Gen Ambassador for the Chaiken Success Center, a member of the President Leadership Academy, takes 19 credits and works in the Pollock Dining Commons. Kirti combines her scholarship with creativity, is generous with her peers, is involved on campus, and has unwaivering determination to succeed.
