Queer Peers aims to share information and resources, build community, and assist with students' transition to Penn State, University Park. As first year, transfer, or change-of-campus students, participants can engage in various events, programs, and activities that will enhance their student experience, social networks, and will help them gain a better understanding of Penn State's resources as they relate to the LGBTQ+ community.
- New In Town (Beginning of Fall Semester)
A friendly welcome to University Park! Enjoy meeting other new to university park students while enjoying fun activities to learn more about your new peers. Enjoy light refreshments and wonderful conversations. Find out what the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity has to offer!
- New & Q (Mid Fall Semester)
Has the first semester at University Park been overwhelming? Do you want to reconnect with others in the community? Do you need a break from studies? Enjoy a relaxing evening with others who feel the same way. Create a college care package with snacks, teas, and school supplies for you and your friends.

Learn more about the discussion groups that we offer. We offer four this semester, Beyond the Binary (for trans and non-binary students), Color Me Queer (for LGBTQ+ students of color), Aces (for asexual and aromantic students), and BiLions (for bisexual, pansexual, and fluid students). Want to educate others about sexual and gender diverse populations? Learn more about our peer education program! As a peer educator, you will be trained to discuss with other students the basics of LGBTQ language/terminology and how to be better allies for the community at Penn State. You will be able to participate on panels and other interactive opportunities to better the student experience for everyone at Penn State.
