The purpose of the LGBTQ+ discussion spaces is to provide a safer space for students to express their thoughts, perspectives, and opinions on issues, knowledge, and trends in the LGBTQ+ community. These spaces offer students the opportunity to explore their identities and interests. Each space has its own set of broad discussion topics that challenge students to expand their knowledge and develop their identities relative to their place in the world.

Discussion spaces are only open to Penn State students and take place in a hybrid format. Please join through zoom or in-person in HUB-Robeson Center LL011.

Spaces do not meet on official University holidays or on days of University Park campus closure. Students can attend discussion groups at any time during the semester. Spaces are open to all students regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, or any other protected class.

Spaces for the 2024 Spring semester include:

  • Aros and Aces (asexual or aromantic spectrum)
  • Beyond the Binary (gender diverse identities)
  • BiLions (bisexual, pansexual, fluid)
