Queer Peers

Building Community for first year, change of campus, and transfer students

Belong. Be informed. Graduate.

Queer Peers aims to share information and resources, build community, and assist with students' transition to Penn State, University Park. As first year, transfer, or change-of-campus students, participants can engage in various events, programs, and activities that will enhance their student experience, social networks, and will help them gain a better understanding of Penn State's resources as they relate to the LGBTQ+ community. Queer Peers is open to all students regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, or any other protected class.

For the 2025-2026 academic year, students interested in participating in Queer Peers events are given a passport listing each event's time, date, and location. This passport can be used to see events in advance but also as a way to record attendance. Students receive prizes for attending one, three, or all distinct Queer Peers events.

Welcome to the new academic year! Stop in the Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity to make a cozy hot coffee or tea or a refreshing iced drink. Learn more about our space, resources, and take the time to meet new peers.
