Flourish Fair

When-April 17 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm 

Where- 134 HUB-Robeson Center 

Stop by the Flourish Fair if you are a student looking for a way to reduce stress and improve overall well-being. The Flourish Fair is a fun, interactive opportunity for students to take a break and learn about mindfulness, stress management and sleep. 

Activities include:

  • Make a Mind Jar
  • Stress Management Wordsearch 
  • Penn State Coloring Books
  • Make a Care Box
  • Stuff a Plush 

Yoga and Meditation 

Join Sima Farage (RYT 200) and Latisha Franklin, Ph.D (RYT 200) for yoga and meditation classes starting January 8 through April 25.  Feel free to bring your own mat.  Space is limited to 25 participants per class.

  • Monday: 232 HUB-Robeson Center, 12:30-1:30 p.m. with Sima Farage
  • Wednesday: 122 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center,  5:30 – 6:30 p.m. with Sima Farage
  • Thursday: 122 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, 4:00 – 5 p.m. with Latisha Franklin

A limited amount of yoga supplies are provided and no experience is necessary. All are welcome!   

You can watch previously recorded classes at your convenience. The recorded yoga and meditation classes are guided by yoga instructor, Sima Farage.  Get your yoga and meditation practice started today. 

Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing 

Join Anna Marie, certified forest therapy guide trained in the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT) way for a safe, guided Shinrin-Yoku, or Forest Bathing experience that will balance your body, mind, and spirit. A forest bathing walk shifts our attention from our thinking minds toward our senses. Through a series of open-ended invitations by the guide, participants will then be ready to receive whatever the forest has to offer each individual in unique ways. It calms the mind and connects our bodies to the natural world around us, enabling us to receive its benefits. 

Spring walks will begin March 12 and occur every Tuesday afternoon through April 23 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. Space is limited to 15 participants. Please fill out this form to reserve your spot!

Friends & Family Peer-Support Group

This group is for students at Penn State who are affected by another's alcohol and drug use -- a parent, a sibling, a partner, or a friend.  This meeting is open to students from any campus by accessing the Zoom link here.  Not at University Park? Join by Zoom: 985 2493 1810 - Passcode: 005113

Well-being Wednesday

Well-being Wednesday will be held in the Intramural Building from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Various activities, focused on student wellness, will take place throughout the building. When students enter the building, they can look for large information tables staffed by students. Here you can learn about all the different things you can do during Well-being Wednesday. 

  • April 3: Campus Recreation will be promoting their event "Rec After Dark". Stop by the IM lobby to learn more and sign up.
  • April 10: Health Promotion and Wellness will be creating a gratitude board in the IM Building lobby. 

Vibe Out with Mindful Crafting 

Health Promotion and Wellness, Student Leadership & Involvement and the Center for Performing Arts will be offering a new series. This series will combine elements of mindfulness, crafting, and music. Sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in 102 HUB-Robeson Center. 

  • April 2: Collaborative Zen Doodles
  • April 9: Care Box
  • April 16: Heart Mapping
  • April 23: Mask Making

Throughout the year, Vibe Out brings in a variety of musicians and instructors to a create a space to decompress, move, and reflect while enjoying some great music. Free journals and snacks will be provided.

Access to Protection 

Every Friday in the HUB, visit table #2, between 11:30-1:30 p.m. to pick up free safer sex supplies from peer health educators. Have questions about sexual health? A peer educator is happy to assist you!
