Yoga and Meditation
Join yoga instructors Sima Farage and Latisha Franklin for yoga and meditation classes starting January 9 through April 27. These classes meet twice per week in 118 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center. Space is limited to 15 participants per class. We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Join yoga instructor, Sima Farage, RYT 200, MBA, CHC, CEE, for yoga and meditation on Mondays starting January 9 in 118 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center at 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Join Latisha Franklin, RYT 200, for yoga and meditation on Thursdays starting January 12 in 118 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center at 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
No classes during spring break.
A limited amount of yoga supplies are provided and no experience is necessary.
All are welcome!
You can watch previously recorded classes at your convenience! The recorded yoga and meditation classes are guided by yoga instructor, Sima Farage. Get your yoga and meditation practice started today.
Starting January 23, stop by for guided mindfulness activities every Monday at 12:00 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. in 124 Findlay Commons. Learn how to manage stress through mindfulness-based activities led by HealthWorks Peer Educators. No registration is required, however, Mindful Mondays are limited to 15 participants.
Starting January 23, enjoy a mindful meditation led by Blake Colaianne, Ph.D. in 118 Pasquerilla from 3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. No experience is necessary. Bring a friend and explore what meditation can do for you.
NEW THIS YEAR - Well-being Wednesday will be held in the Intramural Building. Various activities, focused on student wellness, will take place throughout the building. When students enter the building, they can look for large information tables staffed by students. Here students can learn about all the different things they can do during Well-being Wednesdays. Some activities include, making a mind jar, Zumba, wellness activities in the wellness suite (room 20), and mini fitness assessments offered by The Center to Fitness and Wellness!
January 11 and 18, join Campus Recreation, Health Promotion and Wellness, and the Kinesiology Department for an open-house. Stop by anytime between 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. to learn about wellness services, ways to get involved, and healthy ways to take care of yourself while you're in college!
January 25 - Make a Mind jar! Join HealthWorks students at the main entrance of IM to make a mind jar and take it with you. Learn more between 4-6pm at the table.

Family and Friends peer-support Group
This group is for students who are affected by another's alcohol and drug use. For some, that person is a parent, a sibling or someone else in the family, or maybe a friend. When someone close to you has a problem with substances you may need support. This group meets weekly on Wednesdays in 105 Pasquerilla from 4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. You can also join on Zoom. Shinrin-Yoku, Forest Bathing
Join Anna Marie, certified forest therapy guide trained in the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy Guides and Programs (ANFT) way for a safe, guided Shinrin-Yoku, or Forest Bathing experience that will balance your body, mind, and spirit. A forest bathing walk shifts our attention from our thinking minds toward our senses. Through a series of open-ended invitations by the guide, participants will then be ready to receive whatever the forest has to offer each individual in unique ways. It calms the mind and connects our bodies to the natural world around us, enabling us to receive its benefits.
We offer 1-hour and up to 3-hour experiences . Space is limited to 15 participants. If you're interested in signing up for a future Forest Bathing opportunity, fill out this form.
Spring walks will begin March 15 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. We will have more information soon!
