Whether you’re looking for one-on-one support, interactive wellness activities, or access to trusted resources, our programs are here to help you build habits that support success, balance, and belonging.

Peer Wellness Services

Meet one-on-one with trained peer educators and staff in Health Promotion and Wellness to explore strategies that strengthen your well-being and support your academic success. These personalized sessions offer practical tools, new insights, and simple techniques you can use every day.

Learn about nutrition guidelines, behaviors, and strategies to fuel your body for academic, social, and physical well-being.

Build awareness of your emotions and understand how feelings influence your behaviors. Practice strategies that promote well-being such as awareness, self-regulation, and social connection.

Recognize the components of a healthy relationship and explore practical strategies for improving communication with friends, family, and loved ones. Learn about safe sexual health practices, including using barrier methods and STI testing resources.

Understand what causes stress and how it impacts your body, mental health, and academic performance. Learn practical stress relief and time management strategies as you dive into the benefits of mindfulness and somatic practices.

Stress Management Support

Managing stress is an important part of staying healthy and successful at Penn State. From peer guidance, workshops, to activities and professional support, campus resources can help you build healthier ways to cope and stay grounded during busy or challenging moments.

Penn State offers a variety of yoga and meditation experiences to help students, faculty, and staff build resilience, reduce stress, and reconnect with their well-being. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or trying mindfulness for the first time, these practices are accessible and welcoming to all.

Forest Bathing offers an opportunity to experience nature through a slow, meditative walk through the woods. This research-based practice is led by a certified ANFT guide and is open to all who are interested. Space on these walks is limited to 15 participants and registration is required. 

Participate in this weekly series that promotes resiliency and relaxation through breathwork. Learn practical skills that will help transform the way you respond to stress. Registration is not required.

Join us for Well-being Wednesdays in the Lobby of the IM Building for wellness activities and resources. Stop by the outreach tables, staffed by HealthWorks Peer Educators, to learn about ways to support your well-being. 

A collaborative mindful making program between Health Promotion and Wellness, Student Leadership and Involvement, and the Center for Performing Arts. Each week, engage with different activities that highlight creativity, curiosity, and fun. Combine music with calming crafts to experience practical stress relieving techniques.  

Relaxation Spaces

Need a quiet place to pause between classes or reset during a busy week? The Wellness Suite in 020 Intramural (IM) Building and 102 HUB-Robeson Center offer welcoming spaces to relax, reflect, and refocus.

Inside, you’ll find simple tools that support calm and creativity, including coloring books, puzzles, zen sand gardens, light therapy boxes, and a Buddha Board. 

Work With Our Nutrition Clinic

Penn State students can access free, individual nutritional counseling through the Nutrition Clinic. Registered dietitians meet with you in a supportive, positive environment. Meet with a dietitian for an hour long consultation and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. Sessions are free and no referral is needed.
