Community Seminars, 12-Step, and SMART Recovery Groups

Collegiate Recovery Community Peer-Support Seminars
These peer-support seminars are where students meet to give and receive support. Seminars meet in Room 105, Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, during the fall and spring semesters. Any student is welcome to drop in, and no registration is necessary. Seminar times were last updated on September 12, 2023.
- Mondays: 11:15 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.
- Tuesdays: 11:15-12:05 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 11:15 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.
- Wednesday lunch follows from 12:05 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
- Thursdays: 12:20-1:10 p.m.
- Fridays: 11:15 a.m. - 12:05 p.m.
On-campus 12-Step Meetings: Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) Meetings
Friday 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Fridays First A.A. and/or over Zoom.
This meeting is a "beginner's meeting," which means its format is more geared to those who are newer to A.A. This meeting is open to anyone with a desire to stop drinking, and it is "closed" to outside visitors.
Location: When the building is open, this meeting is hybrid: In-person attendees meet in 105 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, and the meeting can also be attended using the Zoom link below. When the building is closed, the meeting reverts to Zoom only.

Family and Friends Peer-Support Meeting
This group is for students at Penn State who are affected by another's alcohol and drug use -- a parent, a sibling, a partner, or a friend. This meeting is open to students from any campus by accessing the Zoom link here.
Tuersdays 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Location: 105 Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, except when closed
