Stand for State is Penn State’s bystander intervention program focusing on sexual and relationship violence, mental health concerns, acts of bias, and risky drinking and drug use. Our goal is to create a campus community where everyone plays a role in watching out for each other because everyone deserves to be safe.
Peer Education Application
Selection Process
- Submit this application no later than April 5 at 11:59 p.m.
- In-person interviews: April 9-12
- Commitment to role: Fall 2019 - Spring 2020
Timing
Peer educators will be trained to provide 60-90 minute programs to student groups and classes about how to interrupt sexual and relationship violence, as well as acts of bias. Additionally, Peer Educators will collaborate with other groups hosting events, participate in and help plan Stand for State events, participate in tabling, and teach others how to create culture change within their groups.
