The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity provides many ways that students can get involved during their time here at University Park and across the Commonwealth.

Peer Education Program

The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity's Peer Education Program consists of two peer education experiences: Queer Voices (formerly Student Voice Panels) and Student Ally workshops. Students have the opportunity to speak on panels, telling their stories and educating student populations and facilitate educational workshops across campus.

Student Staff

Students can gain valuable experience and professional skills in one of the nation's top LGBTQ+ offices through our student staff opportunities. Positions are available during each academic year. Applications can be found on the Penn State HR website.

LGBTQ+ Student Organizations

There are numerous LGBTQ+ student-run organizations at Penn State.

To find out more information about LGBTQ+ student organizations at campuses across the commonwealth, visit the Commonwealth and World Campuses LGBTQ+ Resources page or the Join a Student Organization page and select the desired campus.

Out & Engaged Immersion Experience

The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity offers students an opportunity to learn more about various aspects of the LGBTQA community through an immersion experience.

Trips expose students to the history of the LGBTQA+ community, as well as encourage personal growth, promote civic engagement, and enrich the lives of participants.
