Nutrition Clinic
Free, individual nutrition counseling is available to Penn State students through the Nutrition Clinic. Services are provided by a registered dietitian in a supportive and positive environment. Our dietitians can help tailor your diet to meet your personal and cultural preferences and health needs, some of which may include:
- Diabetes
- High cholesterol
- High blood pressure
- Digestive disorders
- Eating disorders/disordered eating
- Food allergy, intolerance, and/or sensitivity
- Vegetarian and vegan diet
- General health and wellness
Our registered dietitians can assist you with:
- Identifying dangerous dietary behaviors that may contribute to the development of an eating disorder. Learn more about Healthy Eating and Living Support services at Penn State
- Making appropriate referrals
- Maintaining a healthy, balanced eating pattern while coping with the pressures of campus life
- Designing a nutritious meal plan within limited financial resources
- Making healthful selections in the dining commons
- Setting realistic nutrition goals and strategies for achieving them
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 814-863-0461 or through myUHS. Initial consultations last one hour and follow-up appointments are arranged as needed. A clinical referral is not necessary. There is no fee to Penn State students for nutrition services.
