It's On Us Peer Educators
The It's On Us Peer Educators were formed during the 2021-2022 academic year, thanks in part to the "It's On Us" grant awarded to the Gender Equity Center through the Pennsylvania Governor's Office. It's On Us Peer Educators recognize that “It's On Us” is more than a rallying cry, it is a promise and a commitment we make to the victim survivors in our community that we accept the charge that It is On Us to eliminate sexual violence at Penn State. It is on all of us, not just victim survivors, to advocate for change and learn how to make a difference. To learn more about the program and workshops offered, see the information below.
I wanted to say thank you all so much for accepting me with open arms and being literally the best organization on campus, I couldn’t have asked to find a better group. You all are so amazing.
Greeks CARE
Greeks CARE or "Community Action and Responsibility Education," began as pilot program in Fall 2015 with the full program launched in Spring 2016 in its current form. This peer education program is offered in collaboration with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Greeks CARE Facilitators lead members of Greek Life at Penn State through the six week sexual assault prevention program. During the weekly hour-long sessions, facilitators discuss topics including supporting survivors, alcohol and consent, bystander intervention, and more. To learn more about the program and how to become a facilitator, see the information below. The program has expanded beyond the six week program to oferring independent workshops upon request as well.
Greeks CARE is something everyone should consider doing. the information talked about was helpful especially when in Greek life.
[I enjoyed] learning more about important issues on campus and getting to hear other perspectives from other chapters.
